Youth Aid Zimbabwe Trust has various programmes which cuts across the generational divide due to the slipstream of development challenges which are multi-faceted and cross cutting. Through out all these programmes YAZ involves gender mainstreaming in all its projects.

Human Rights and Peace Building: 

This programme is laced and coated in a participatory approach that seeks to sensitize and help rural communities especially youths in managing conflicts through preaching the gospel of non-violence and sustained dialogues.This is so since youths are mostly identified as agents or pawns used by politicians to unleash violence on fellow community members.This project,also educates the rural youths on civic education on issues that revolve around but  not limited to social justice,respect of fundamental liberties and the fruits that society can reap by promotion of democratic values and practises.

 HIV and AIDS Awareness :

The programme mainly focuses on awareness raising through sensitising the community especially the youths on behaviour change and peer education. This is so since many youths are waging silent struggles both as victims and villains in this era were HIV/AIDS has emerged as one of the chief enermies of human kind.

 Livelihoods Building :

This programme seeks to build communities through opening up prospects for youth development. To this end, the programme strive to trigger the birth of a self-reliant youth generation through enhanced skills training. Through this programme, YAZ seeks to deepen ways of combating poverty which has indeed emerged as one of the formidable enermies of choice. This project seeks to empower youths on ways of combating isolation,powerlessness,vulnerability, so as to escape the deprivation trap and rural poverty.
